We all know that laser diodes are widely used in all walks of life, so do you know what band of laser diodes are mainly used in industrial ranging? Let's take a look at it together.
Laser diode band commonly used in industrial ranging
The most mainstream bands of industrial ranging are = =650nm, 780nm, 808nm, 850nm and 905nm, of which 905nm is the absolute big head.
905nm laser diode
At present, most laser rangefinders, laser radars (ToF), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and autopilot use 905nm pulsed laser diodes.
Why is it mainstream? Invisible to the naked eye, does not affect the use, has strong penetrating power, has less interference to fog, dust and sunlight than visible light, can make the output power very high (tens of watts to 100 watts pulse), and has low cost.
As long as you see that it needs long-distance measurement, strong anti-interference or outdoor use, it is basically 905nm.
850nm laser
850nm has a high light-dark conversion ratio, which is suitable for camera-assisted focusing, short-distance ranging, positioning and counting in industrial automation.
808nm laser
808nm is often used in: medium and short distance ranging, some machine tool positioning equipment, simple industrial detection.
780nm laser
Many early rangefinders used 780nm laser diodes, but now there are fewer.
Features: mature technology, low cost, but low power and weak anti-interference.
Generally, it can still be seen on old equipment and old machine tools.
The above is what band laser diode is used for industrial ranging. I hope you will have a clear understanding after reading it.
